The person behind the work.

Hi, I’m Dan, a Cambridge-based wedding photographer, filmmaker and the founder of Social Photography UK. I believe photography is about far more than taking great pictures—it’s about bringing people together, building confidence and creating opportunities. Through Social Photography, I’ve built a welcoming community where photographers, models and creatives can meet, learn, collaborate and gain real-world experience. Whether I’m capturing a wedding, filming live music, creating content for businesses or organising community events, my aim is always the same: tell authentic stories and help others grow through creativity.

What working together looks like.

I believe the best photographs happen when people feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is relaxed, natural and unobtrusive, allowing genuine moments to unfold rather than forcing them. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, filming a live event or leading a Social Photography meet-up, I focus on telling honest stories that people will want to look back on for years to come. For me, photography is about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about building confidence, bringing people together and creating opportunities for others to learn, collaborate and grow. Every project is approached with professionalism, creativity and a genuine passion for people.

Relaxed weddings, live music, community events, hospitality, authentic business storytelling and projects where photography and video can work together.

Available for selected UK and destination weddings. Destination work is subject to availability, travel arrangements and a written quotation.

Selected projects at a reduced rate.

I occasionally support selected community, charitable and portfolio-building projects at a reduced rate, particularly where the project can provide meaningful experience for Social Photography members. Standard commercial, wedding and private bookings are quoted according to the work required.

Pricing depends on the project. Submit a brief to request a written quotation. Travel and other agreed expenses may be additional.
